Optimism Town Hall events are hosted by Dan Singjoy, presented by Optimystics, and produced by Eden Creators. The first Optimism Town Hall event happened on May 16th, 2024 and event is currently in it’s second season.

History
Optimism Town Hall launched in May 2024 as a collaborative governance forum for the Optimism Collective, bringing a new format for community-driven discussions to the Superchain. The Town Hall format evolved from our experience hosting Eden Town Hall, which ran successful weekly governance discussions throughout 2022-2023.
Each week, Optimism Town Hall features different aspects of Optimism - from educational deep-dives into RetroFunding and Missions, to demonstrations of governance tools, to collaborative discussions about improving the Collective. Past episodes have included conversations with community leaders, delegates, and governance tool builders from across the Superchain.
Optimism Town Hall events feature innovative community agenda-setting games like Cagendas and OPTOPICS, innovative discussion formats that enables democratic topic selection and more dynamic conversation flow, powered by Optimism. This approach builds on our pioneering work with community agenda games, which were developed and refined through over 70 events in the Eden community,
Our events create a unique space where anyone can learn about, discuss, and contribute to Optimism. Whether you're new to the Collective or deeply involved in governance processes, Optimism Town Hall provides structured discussions to help the community understand and shape the future of Optimism.
